In August 2026, Bittersweet Productions returns to Sydney's historic Eternity Playhouse to present a brand new offering of one act plays.
The company is dedicated to curating and performing short works by famous and not so famous playwrights. For their second 2026 production, KNOWING HOW IT ENDS, they will be putting on a trilogy of short contrasting comic plays. They are:
SEAGULLS by Caryl Churchill, directed by Sarah Carradine, and starring Julie Mathers as Valery, Tonia Davies as Di, and Jared Gerschwitz as Cliff.
TIME FLIES by David Ives directed by John Grinston and starring Isabelle Serafim as May, Arnold Walsh as Horace and David M Bond as David Attenborough.
THE ACTOR'S NIGHTMARE by Christopher Durang directed by John Grinston and starring Paul Williamson as George, Gina Willison as Meg, Tricia Youlden as Sarah Siddons, Cassandra Gorman as Ellen Terry and Christopher Gale as Henry Irving.
The production of Churchill's play SEAGULLS is an Australian premiere.
This trilogy of short plays will be presented on the 21st and 22nd of August 2026 at the Eternity Playhouse, 39 Burton Street, Darlinghurst.
