Exquisite colours
Prick my eyes.
Flesh warms flesh.
I fold into your arms
Expiring with intent
On the hunger
That invades our bodies.
Would I linger, forever here
Luxuriating in those kisses
That sear in expiration
Tender
Ardent
Deep-rooted?
This hunger knows no boundaries:
Humidity and enervation
Delirious in their playfulness.
And yet, we stand above
Like the gods
And watch in admiration
As our senses
Are seized in renewal:
This middle earth
Emits its own sweet sadness:
“Mine own and not mine own”
