They chatter and ache
They move and mumble
They squeak and singe
This plateful of annoyance
Wretched masticators
In the way
Mouthful
Chomped
Chewed
Chipped
Sunk
And gummed within me.
O baby teeth milky white
Whence did thy stay
Lapse into folly and decay
As tinted ivory
Creaking like piano keys
And hidden from my smile?
O where is my May!
